Homemade gift ideas for boyfriend

Marriages are made in heaven. But the heavens are too busy maintain it for you. Though divorce is a universal remedy to escape from an incompatible married life or an incorrigible spouse, laws are so flexible that people give a better thought over getting an Ipad 2 than for a break-up. With some patience and with some more presence of mind, you can maintain and strengthen your love life easily. All you need is a simple idea that will work, that will help you express to your boy friend or husband, how much you love him. And that's where I come in to do the little I can to help you gift your boyfriend.

If you expect the following ideas to be the stereo-typical ones like a candle light dinner or a new gadget, sorry you may leave. I wouldn't waste your time any further. Out there, there are umpteen number of sites doing that. I have just made an attempt to share all the gifts I made to make my boyfriend happy. They are all homemade with you having to spend no money but just time and effort. Enough of all the hype! The first and my favorite one is a CD/DVD burnt with 10-20 romantic songs with touching lyrics. Obviously I consider this as my favorite because, the response from my boy friend was amazing! I had 21 songs in my DVD, as 21 is his lucky number. All you have to do is this.

• Select the song videos from Youtube with the song running in background with the lyrics appearing for sing-along.
• Download the videos from Youtube.
• Make sure you have some of his favorites too.
• Decorate your cd with some handiwork of yours. (Anything done by hand, however bad it may be, boys love them)

It's your boyfriend's birthday. How about you celebrate it with a special Birthday issue with the newspaper?! Unleash your creativity and design newspaper like columns containing events which happened when your boyfriend was born. Along with those important events add up the most important news, "So and so was born today". You can use MS Paint or Photoshop. Else download the picture which I've designed and use Paint to change the name and news. Simple as that!

Sometimes, very simple acts add a lot of value to a relationship. One such thing is what I call the "5 minute rule". I told about this rule to a lot of my friends and they all stand as testimony to the power of this rule. The rule states that, "Whatever may be the reason for the fight in progress and whoever may be the initiator between the two, whenever one person says "5 minutes over", the fight should come to a stop. Definitely the person who says "5 minutes over", would be the one who started the fight, or the peace-loving one of the two. Whatever the case, the fight will come to an end and thats what everyone wants! Once if you give up your ego and tell "5 minutes over" even if the fault is not yours, the next time you'll have a surprise.So where is the gift here? By taking an effort to fix every misunderstanding, you gift your boy friend, the JOY OF BEING IN A RELATIONSHIP.

Get ready for something techy! Have you ever tried your hands with video editing in college?

If yes, then why not use your skills to surprise your boy friend or girl. Collect one-liners that convey how you feel about him/her and compile them into a collection. If possible add a few of your own lines to the collection to personalize it. All that matters is the content and the effort you take to collect that content.So don't worry if you don't know video editing. Make a powerpoint presentation pasting each in a slide with a decorative font and a background music. There are really good romantic presentation templates available, which you can download and start right away. Once you have collected enough quotes, making the presentation will take hardly 5 minutes. Then simply take all these quotes and neatly write them on paper and make a tiny booklet and post it to your boyfriend. If you text a lot with your boyfriend then he will love to see cute messages in his inbox once he wakes up! You would have really made his day that way!

Though the idea of quotes may seem mediocre, the words on screen will speak your heart and make your boy friend feel special. Once, even I thought that collecting romantic quotes was nothing big, with so many websitesdedicated for quotes. But after reading a dozen I lost the interest to read more. Most sites are full of age-old sayings that are nothing but a string of words.So don't stop until you find lines that really speak your heart. Patience is a virtue well learnt when you are the mercy of the world wide web!

These days, everyone is a member of some social network. Be it those like hubpages or blogspot, or the ones like facebook, orkut or myspace, profile pic is something which speaksa lot about a person. How about designing a special profile picture for your boy friend with all those effects. With little knowledge in photoshop and with the help of hundreds of tutorials about photo manipulation, you can do wonders!

• Choose a good photo of your boy friend.
• Type the phrase "Photoshop tutorials for photo manipulation effects". You can add
• adjectives like cool, funny, interesting depending on what your boy friend would like.
• Download photoshop if you don't have already.
• Then follow each step in the tutorial and do the same in your photohop workspace.

Some tutorials may need photos with specific poses suitable for creating the required effects. For eg, to transform your boy friend into a warrior, you may need a photo where he lifts up his hand, so that you may place a sword on it.

What else could be the sweetest thing on earth for your boy friend than your voice! So sing his favorite song or the one that describes your man better, record it and mail it to him. The choice of a song depends on how you see your boyfriend or how he sees you. You can sing a lullaby that he can hear every night in bed, or it can be a motivational song that will give him strength during sorrow, or just a cute romantic song. The easiest thing to do is, choose a song from the above list and sing. The karoke(background music) is available for most of the songs from the list. Singing along with karoke will add on to the effect. But all that really counts is your love, so don't try karoke if you aren't confident of the musicalities involved! if you If you want your song to make him laugh, just spoof a serious song with funny lyrics! If your man treats you like a baby, a simple cuppy cake song sung with a childish innocence is enough to activate his tear glands!

Every stationary shop has a fabric paint box. Just get two colors, preferably red and black. Take a pair of plain pillow cover and paint simple diagrams of you and your pair doing all sorts of cranky and romantic things. Don't limit your creativity to just pillows.
